The Dome aint doing too badly in Japan. It won its first race if I remember correctly. I heard that the thing was simply too bulky and heavy, wishbones strong enough for CART on it and such like.

From what i know, cntmunky, they tested dozens of different solutions throughout the season, without finding a significant improvement.
Dome are a good team, and this year they enjoyed also full support from Honda, who granted them exclusive engines. Their drivers were good, too. Despite all that, they just caught casual wins (on the first race, dominating Courtney received two drive-trhrou penalties); and what is more, in the second part of the season, gap from Dallara has stunningly increased. Dome had won, running Dallaras, the last two championships, this year, well, despite strong external support, reasults are what we see.... Last edited by climb; 3 Oct 2003 at 13:06. |

Whats interesting though is ADR Dallaras have kinda sucked this year and the Lola wasnt much better or worse. Id like to have seen Kerr make an appearance in a Dallara to get a better data selection

You're right Russ,
however Kerr already showed his skills oin a Dallara, last year. Being ADR in such a unfortunate condition, well, it's actually hard to image that results could have been at the level of top teams; but I still reckon he would have been faster than with Lola. And so do Lola people, IMO, that's why this comparison couldn't take place, I guess... Last edited by climb; 3 Oct 2003 at 15:32. |

Its a shame that the Lola wasn't better this year, it would have been great to see a chassis war in either the Euro or British series, still Lola has won in Italy and in Japan.

Oh great! Just what we need, a "chassis war".
What so we can give them another excuse for when they f@%$ up? Davidson being asked to leave ADR is what gave him the impetus to pull his finger out and get on with it. I couldn't think of a better Brit team to develop an unknown chassis (maybe Carlin if they could find the time). |

Carlin is Dallara spare dealer for UK, don't think he will switch to another chassis provider!
