You could have done fire training at Oulton Park yesterday!

As far as I know there will be no general training days until January/February next year.

Looks like you're just going to have to enjoy the rest of the season free from the pressure to obtain signatures.

Question why isnt there any training done during the summer months. apart from the occasional fire training (Oulton & Donington)?

I know the weekends are taken up with racing but surely there must be a way round this.

Steve, as you know I sent out a letter to all our trainees asking what date best suited them dates were from July to September. The date with the best response that tied in with our paramedics free time was the Sunday of the Grand Prix. that meant I was 3 down on the numbers I had looked at. This is always the problem with holding training days during the season. It may be OK for small specialist training days like ours but a general training day, with all it's expense, time in planning, venue would be very difficult to do.

Funding, suitable venues, available trainers are immediate problems that come to mind for summer taining days.

Thats ok.I will fit in when the next general training day comes around. I have already said that i will be available for fire training at donington on 18 AUG. And i will wait untill next year if i have too. I am in no rush but was just enquiring as to when the general training was.

Both Snetterton and Brands run training days for all grades of marshals. Dates are 6th Feb for Snetteron and the 13th Feb for Brands.
