There was a hillclimb / F3 / Atlantic rolling chassis recently for sale in the Channel Islands. I think it was a 1981 car.

Dr Erlich was an interesting man. A very clever engineer.
Lots of info here: www.f3history.co.uk And click on Erlich in Manufacturers Met him once when he was running Ian Flux in F3. Never had enough money to fo f3 properly. |

Roger,
I am afraid Dr Erlich has died. He was involved in Environmental Engine Technology recently as is can be seen here: http://www.docscipark.com.au/ee_tech.html He had a big interest in bikes as well as cars - A very clever man. |

Its actually a 1979 RP4 car updated with later 1980/1 RP5 bodywork (a copy of the March 792 bodywork). It has run a FVC and BDA/G amongst others while on the hills.

Wasn't there a Waddon-Ehrlich 250cc 2-stroke engine that was used in Superkarts back in 1982. I think Nigel Smith [he went on to drive the HMSO Cavalier] drove it... it was yellow and sponsored by Stocksigns ? I think Dr. Ehrlich played a part in that too.

Do I remember Roger Something and Bev bond driving for Erlich in F3; a rather angular car? Top car but very hot competition at the time and was rather overshadowed.

The 250cc kart engine sounds very probable, because after Erlich turned his back on F3/Atlantic in 1980 he went back to motorcycle engine tuning, and with some considerable success.

Ehrlich started out as a manufacturer of two-stroke engines just after WW2 to the mid-1960's as the Ehrlich Motor Co or EMC, specialising in 125cc and 250cc bikes. |

Know very little, saw two cars in Monza, at the Gran Premio Lotteria, back in the mid '70s (1977?), the newer car being driven by Jean-Pierre Dieudonne, the second by none other than a very young Adrian Reynard
