Tom Walkinshaw
I've just learned of the passing of Tom Walkinshaw. A sad day for all those Jaguar Group C fans and the rest of us who remember his exploits in Formula one, Sportscars and touring cars.
Im sure he will be sadly missed. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. |

Thank you Tom for leaving us and this world with those gorgeous and fantastic-sounding Jaguars... an irreplaceable contribution to the world of motorsport.

Sad news, RIP Major Tom.
Your Rover touring cars were a large part of the reason I got into motorsport (oh and the Capris you were trying to beat!) Thanks also for the XJS's and XJR Group C series. Legendary cars all!! |

RIP Tom.
His Volvos in BTCC were instrumental in turning around the image of the brand. And they sounded lovely, AND they were quick too. |

This is a terrible shock. I always half expected a team of his or some interest from him to pop up again in F1. He lived life to the full until the end. A no-nonsense character, he'll be missed from the world of sport -- rugby too. RIP.
