I was listening to it at work as per usual, but then I came home early and it's taking ages to connect at home.

the championship points , his new book (mine will be out soon too) , the allegded brake test (allthough he didnt want to touch that too much , but denies it) and racing in tassie.
apparently he has never driven a race car in his home state , which is kinda strange I though he would have at least done a Formula Ford event there. thats about it. |

bummer now Ive dropped off
Gore was on , he said and I quote "The problem with Alex is , He cant drive" "he's a great bloke but just couldnt drive the cars" he was then wrapped up in Bessie's Indy drive and how great it was and he is signed up for 05 to drive supercars , and so is baird and he is very happy to have baird in the team and thinks he will be great. |

Gore's comment on Alex Yoong - "He's a lovely bloke, but the kid just can't drive." He was however ecstatic at DB's result in the indy car.

There's no replay, but you need to go to Bigpond to listen to it on the net now. They've closed the streaming on SEN from 6 on Friday to 6 on Monday Morning because of the EPL rights.

I found his comments on Baird interesting. "Craig is very grounded, he has a family and a life and realises there are other, more important things than racing, he will be good for David."

Here's me wondering whether the combination of these words heard across the world on an internet broadcast, and locally in Melbourne on the free to air AM radio, on top of the quotes taken in AA this week, have become so negatory that they are actionable in law.... |

Hi All
Were you guys who had problems on dialup? I was on then dropped off and couldn't get back on, until I tried the broadband button which worked (don't ask me why - no video, but the sound worked perfectly). Pleased it wasn't just me |

Hi guys long time reader of these forums but never posted. I too had problems listening to panel beaters tonight but did get to listen to Craig Gore. I dont agree with the way he does business but he sure sounds passionate about his motor racing. He could be good for the sport.

And Gorey cares because? Gorey has enough money and lawyers to bounce a case around in court for years, probably til Levi Lowndes is ready to test a Supercar. Sometimes, rather than take legal action, it's better to just press on and prove people wrong. You and I both know that, GTR. Alex is bigger than that, you just watch. At some stage, he will beat the WPS cars....and that has to be sweeter than any legal victory ever could provide. |

well said JDI
I wish alex all the success in the world , sure he's not the best driver but I think he is great for the sport and deserves at least a fair go to get up to speed. |

Well there is that whole employer/employee separation thing still hanging over their heads.... and comments such as these can be seen as an influence to the conclusion to such proceedings.
If a driver is contracted to the balance of the season, with an option into 2005, and the team owner slags off that driver in public to an audience who may be influenced by such comments, especially because of the position of the person from whence they came, then its not surprising that a driver may choose to recind the contract early, and have the option in his arsenal to seek damages for recompense for loss of income, and any other direct or indirect injury... With the other instances I agree with you, in this case, where there has been a parting of the ways that appears for all the world to be totally unplanned by at least one of the parties... the levers to tidy this up change the game considerably when there are such soft targets.... |
