Renault victory at Imola?

Judging by Renault's performance in the first two races, do you think they may stand a chance of victory at Imola.

Firstly the car is very good in corners, we saw at Brazil that the Renault's were the car to have in the twisty stuff - (watch out come Hungary).
Secondly the car is excellent under braking.

Top speed/engine power isn't that importnant at Imola so Renault won't suffer as much as at tracks like Canada.

What do you others think?

Wouldn't bet against a win sometime this season at minimum.

Renault will most likely put on a strong performance. They will be competitive with the McLarens as was shown in the twisty turns of brazil. There aren't any long straights which will play into Renault's favor. But it all depends if Ferrari brings out the f2003-ga, which in that case it depends how much quicker it is than the f2002 and how reliable it is.
On another note, I hope Trulli performs very well infront of his home crowd as it will be is 100th GP
Congrats Jarno!

A chance? Yeah.

There's also a chance I could be crushed by falling meteor next time I walk out my door.

Get to it Jarno. Go with my blessing.

Or less eloquently...

Stick it to em Jarno!

Edit: Oh, and Lee, careful. If you had of said the same about Jordan for Interlagos... let's just say it would have been a very near miss by the cosmic forces hmm? ^_^

The way the season is going, anything can happen. I still feel they are the 4th best team. Maybe they are closer to Williams than last year but, IMO, a win will be down to luck.

The way the Renault's are performing it wouldn't suprise me one bit if they triumphed at Imola.

I think a Renault victory will depend on the speed and reliability of the new Ferrari and McLaren. But there is always a chance as Imola will play to Renault's strengths.
