It does take awhile to get the feel of GPL. I haven't tried Kyalami yet. Have you tried Spa? So far my best lap is about 3:28 (driving the Eagle), which is around 3 seconds off of Clark and the other top drivers. That last small percentage of speed is really tough to find.
Its alot of fun, though.

When you race online, you'll notice that that last percentage gets bigger. Times under 1:20 at Kyalami and 3:20 at Spa are not that unusual. The real racers are so much better than AI. Not me though.

Oh, wow...I just don't have it yet, then. Which cars are people using to get those sorts of times? I suppose it depends on which track one is considering, and which car one is comfortable with.

Murasama is a really easy car to drive but very slow

Lotus is the fastest but too difficult to drive

I find that the eagle is a good comprimise

The Ferrari is also a good compromise as it is quite stable and somewhat forgiving, and how about that sound?

Geez, I've only done a 1:37 at Kyalami, I better keep practising, or maybe buy a wheel and pedal set. It's really hard to moderate pedal pressure on a keyboard.
