What would be nice is if you could hear the engines of the cars as they go by, especially when commentary goes quiet, never sure whether I've lost the connection.
Lead change Max Papis hit the front, Casey Mears not giving up. Throw open a window & hang a mic out! |

The #23 car has had an incredible couple of hours running... they have reset their fastest laps several times... the car seems to be absolutely on the limit
I hope they can catch the slower car in front.. but fear it might be like us Pesca fans at LeMans last year... it might just be that little too far away |

Rockenfeller is in the car, and he isnt pulling away (although there is a ~5 second lead for now)
Amazing what a Safety Car will do Did the AJR car fall off the road under the SC?? |

The TPC is leading in GT with a 996 Cup Car! All the other Porsche teams, who ran up front were running the brand new (brand new for Grand-Am) 997 Cup Cars. I hope they win it.
Go TPC #36 Porsche!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

A good run by the guys and Dan Wheldon joins an exclusive club of people that have won the Indy 500 and the Daytona 24 Hours.

Congrats to the Ganassi squad for a well earned Daytona 24 Hour win. Now it's time to take some more chances at history at Sebring and Le Mans. And by all means, bring Lexus (Toyota) with you.

The involvement of the single seater drivers and teams seemed to give this years 24 a more professional feeling. The G/A is doing a great job. Despite what doomsayers and tea bag purists have told us about how it would never get off the ground, it keeps getting better.
If CART and IRL don't figure out that they need each other soon, G/A may take all their teams and drivers. $2.5 for one car -and about half that again for a second one-is good value to sponsors who may perceive it as better value at this point than what they have in N.American open wheel racing. The fact that ISC helps get sponsors makes it a very attractive proposition if a team wants to go road racing. It is no wonder that teams like Cheever are signing up. |

Interesting race. The Job Crawford was in a league of its own. That is one hell of a team - taking a fairly unfancied chassis and engine and very nearly winning the Big One first time out was very impressive. They were pulling back a lap per hour in the night, which is just amazing.
If they entered the rest of the season they'd win the championship at a stroll. I'm looking forward to what they can do with an LMP2 Porsche... |

Grand Am is on Channel 5 in the UK, incidentally. You need to look closely at the schedules, but it pops up on weekdays at about 3am quite often - along with Australian V8 Supercars etc.
