Barrio (Toyota) won the sunday TC2000 race after Canapino (Chevrolet) had some troubles with aparent oil (From Bustos Barrio's Fluence engine blowing up) in the track, it was a kinda boring race if not for that.
BUT the news (Well, its from Maxima Velocidad's Sciciliano, so "news" is used kinda looselly here) its that Toyota Argentina could be evaluating its works teams programmes, with only TC (Coiro-Dole) and TCR South America (TGRA) confirmed as fully works teams for 2023, and only Rossi, Santero and Barrio confirmed as official drivers. There will be, if this going through, "semi-oficial" teams for other categories with TGR teams, that puts the TC2000 programme (Toyota's biggest at the moment) in a dubious position, especially since the JP Carrera team could be building a Camry for Barrio to use on TC Mouras (a Pre-requisite for running on TC) and the Mouras (with the TCPK) usually races on the same weekend as the TC2000. No words on TCPK Werner-Jakos* (Ran by Coiro-Dole, same as TC), TRV8** Azar-Reutemann, (ran by TGRA proper under Ramonda, same as TC2000) or TNC3 Santero, who will continue with TGR-Ar (Ran by someone, it was Bessone last year, this year im not sure who is on charge) yet *I'll asume he will continue with the Camry on TC, but on the Coiro-Dole side of the team. ** Should be V8 next year Another edit to add: Azar is the reigning TR Champion (and points leader on the current year) and Santero is the reigning TNC3 Champion (With kinda a faint chance of repeating, but it'll be hard) The TCPK team, on the other hand, had a nice fight with Gianini for the tittle, but both pilots lost by a hair. So far, these last years were good for the Toyota teams, aside from the TC2000-Rossi debacle That said, take those news for what they're worth, not only because MV it's a lot of smoke, but because nothing is final on the TGR side. And, talking about smoke, to the rumors of the TC travelling to Uruguay (which kinda calmed now), now we must add the intention of going to Brazil for 2023 Last edited by TuteZaek; 12 Sep 2022 at 13:04. Reason: Next year TR should be V8 |

Watching the TRV6 race (well the Series actually, it's good-adjacent), yesterday some drivers comented one of the weirdest rules ever, even for the already overcomplicated argentine champioonships:The dirvers that aren't doing great have acces to an improved aero-kit, that aparently is kinda a big deal on this circuit.

They surely look interesting, but still "hype the fans" concepts, nothing actually confirmed from most of the brands (and even doubts from some, like Chevrolet and Toyota)
They (the TC2000) want the factories so much... specially Ford, unless Berta brings back the racing team, thats not gonna happen. |

These cars look nice but a) have manufacturers interest to be officially involved? b) look the real cars as great as these computer graphics?

B: At least they're grounded on reality, some of the TCPK concepts were trully wild, glad they went this route for the concepts, the final things will be close (the rims will be different, if i could bet, they'll contine using the EB 18's, nothing wrong with them) |

Aside from the Bs As. 200 Km. which is undoubtly the big event this weekend, the TCPK (and TCM/TCPM) will be out of La Plata, going to Rio IV, were they re-aconditioned the circuit to receive the Pick Ups, as an eventual step for next year receiving the TC.
Aside from the posibility of receiving the TC, the works on Rio IV are really important for the venue, that, even when they raced TR, TN and TC2000 (and recently TCR) the circuit looked awful. |

But honestly, I don't want all SUVs in the TC2000, I would like to see the current vehicles mixed with SUVs and even allow class B cars like the Peugeot 208. Obviously using BOP to equalize them. |

Another 200km, another Pernia-Garcia victory, second in a row for the pair, third in a row for Pernia and fifth (!) in a row for the Fluence, talk about dominance in the event.
Santero-Rossi (Toyota) ended on 2nd, with a little rubbing between Santero and Canapino, that ended in damage for the Chevrolet driver The third place went for Llaver-Urrutia (Chevrolet) with the later having a 100% podium effectivity for the event (5 podiums out of 5 200km's raced) With these results, Pernia extends his lead on the championship over Santero and Llaver, while Canapino drops to 4th. On the TCPK side, Agustin Martinez won his first race in Rio IV over his father Omar and Lambiris who came third. A poor show from the TGR Hiluxes (Hilii?) with Werner (Who came 2nd in the championship) retiring and Jakos (4th before Rio IV) having an incident with Aguirre (Amarok, Then third in the championship), the clutch troubles for Gianini (Ranger) in the qualy made for a nice shuffle in the championship, still being led by Gianini but now with Agustin Martinez on 2nd and his father on virtual 3rd in the playoff (isn't officially in, but is on track for entering as one of "the last minute 3") |

Based on September sales:
The Fiat Cronos is the most sold and second the Peugeot 208, no SUV in top 3. https://m.facebook.com/JLDenari/phot...niV91TySPkl6VE |

According to Carburando, Jorge Maiquez, Chevrolet TC2000 team's director, was just fired by GM.
Now there are doubts of Chevrolet future on TC2000 |

That said, sales should not be taken into account for this things, otherwise only Clios, Gols and Classis would've raced during big part of these past decades.
Is more of presence of said brand in a given market, like the Camry on TC, isn't there for the sales, but to promote Toyota as a brand. |
