Well, I've really enjoyed looking through everyone's posts here, some superb quality pictures and fantastic subjects. As I currently have a bit more time on my hands I've been digitising a few of my old 35mm picture slides. It's a long-winded job but it keeps me out from under Mrs V's feet.
Here are just three pictures of Modified Saloons at Mallory Park in 1981. Neither of the Viva's are anything to do with me, but they attracted my attention for some reason.

If I recall correctly Ian's car was a darker shade, I know I have several pics of the car and will try and find them.

I've just enlarged the picture on my phone and it says "Ian Hulett" on the side.


Ironically though I think those are my old wheels! I only ever saw those 70s Wolfrace on my own car.

Doesn't half look like it (from Brands Hatch in 2007). Weren't Wolfrace slot mags the old favourite on custom cars in the 70s/80s as well?

Well I liked them hence I chose them for mine.

And yes if you look at that other picture on a phone you can enlarge it more and read Ian's name again.

I remember interviewing Ian for my local BBC Radio Station, and took several shots of him at the Classic. I mis remembered about the shade of blue, as it did not show up on the wireless.
