Shame that Jade and the team decided to split halfway through the season but really excited to see what Daryl can do!

It's an upgrade for all parties really. Jade moving to a better team and Team HARD bringing in a driver that's almost certainly going to out perform her.

Looking forward to seeing what Daryl can do! At only 17 years old he seems very quick. Hopefully the car will work for him. First driver from the Philippines, and the first driver representing an Asian nation in the BTCC since Fariqe Hairuman in 2004.

Setting a very low bar there. And whilst he is orginally from the Philippines and races under a Philippino licence, he has lived and raced in the UK from at least as young as 3.

Wouldn't call it a shame really, for Jade the season at HARD was utterly hopeless, now at least she'll have a decent seat. Still don't expect here to set the world on fire but at least she'll have better chances.
As for Daryl that's quite interesting to see, quite a leap for him but hopefully that's beginning of a long-term BTCC career for him

Agreed, bad news for Powell, good news for Edwards after a lot of bad luck this season. At least now she's in with a chance of fulfilling my prediction that it will be her best season yet in the BTCC.

And yeah it’s been terrible but she’s been in the Honda before and achieved 2 points finishes in the 2 years she was there

I would of like to of seen a new name on the grid given a chance at One motorsport there’s a few back markers and former BTCC drivers been recycled when a drive comes available

She will. She's not as hopeless as Powell or Halstead. Expect her to be better than Hamilton as well. However, let's face it, she's not going to move up the field massively. But for her sake I'm happy about the switch from HARD to a lot more professional outfit.

She did one or two rounds, not sure how you can compare. She was also hardly a front runner in TCR UK.

Why does it have to be one or the other?

But if we're talking about women in the BTCC, I've always thought Sarah Moore might be good in it. She did great in the Ginetta Juniors and won the Britcar Endurance Championship in 2018.

She did win a reverse grid race, yes. Otherwise she wasn’t really challenging the front. Doubt there’d be much to separate her and Edwards.

Same as her team mate Jamie Tonks with the reverse grid luck in......

Both of those two were shafted by FastR pulling out because they didn't have the money, not sure either would bring much to the BTCC.

I wouldn’t have described Tonks’ win a reverse grid luck in.

After the FastR thing it looks like Tonks is back out but in a Mini going on his IG.

Not sure if Hawkins is racing or not.
Shame for them both
