I've noticed some similar comments on Reddit. It loads but instead of like a stream it loads about 3 seconds, reloads again. This cycle happens 2 or 3 times then VLC says the stream doesn't work. IP problems here in America maybe?

EDIT: I updated my VLC player, and things work fine.

Those links from Deggis which worked yesterday don't seem to be working today. Anyone else having this issue?

I'm quite sure this has been answered, but does anyone know if the WEC stream (The 20 euros paid feed) shows qualifying for Le Mans? It is just showing me live timing, and I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

When you bought the premium pack you probably missed the part that said "excluding Le Mans"?

Couple of tricks for Eurosport Player (NOT the VLC links) users:

- because the quality is adaptive, it seems to go to HD mode only when in large size/full screen
- apparently HD quality is still not available in all countries - but you can use e.g. http://hola.org and access the site via http://www.eurosportplayer.co.uk instead, as a bonus you get British commentators if you're restricted to your country's own
- the continous no-commentary feed isn't HD, but nothing stops you from opening the site twice (continous + ES1/ES2), muting and syncing them (pausing the video)

Much more happy now than I would be with the local commentators and crappier quality.

So they cancelled the pay stream for 10 bucks which was accounced in April? If I remember correctly, that stream (which was for free last year) covered the whole race (compared to eurosport) ... :/

edit: ahh I'm wrong. eurosport streams the whole event on two channels.

Streaming of the 24hours of Le Mans is separate from the other WEC events. (This has always been the case. You have to pay extra for it via the app.) There is no official streaming of the 24hours available on the web for desktop/laptop PCs, only via the app on phones/tablets.

For those 2 reasons that's why your link doesn't work.

Europlayer Player = http://www.eurosportplayer.com , if you buy subscription you probably get Porguese commentary, at least for ES1.

VLC links are what they are, random links I found by googling, someone either restreams the actual tv channels or they are sniffed from some IPTV service.

Copy-paste the link, don't download it. Try Quicktime, should play m3u8 format.

The official app has a good stream and decent commentary.

We are later than planned so it's been good to catch up on what we are missing.

So I don't have cable TV, Europlayer is blocked in Australia and I'm not keen on watching the majority of he race on my 10" tablet using the WEC app.

I don't mind paying for something, but is there any simple way to get a live stream on my PC here in Australia?

I suspect someone will stream the race on Justin.tv. No guarantees of course, but at least you wouldn't have to pay (since a pro account is recommended for longer viewing) until you can confirm someone indeed is streaming.

I watched this year's Indianapolis 500 that way and other than some buffering every once in a while it worked quite well.

Edit - Or you could go around the region-blockage. Some links with info:
