Blank bank holiday?

Anyone know why there is hardly any racing on Monday? All I can find listed is a clubbie at Castle Combe Used to be one of the busyest days in the UK.
Don't see many people going to the Sat & Sun meetings with;
F1,GP2 ,PSC,IRL,Champcar,WTC,IFM all live on TV?

The BARC meeting should be good, also has Formula Renault and Max 5's off the top of my head, plus Formula Fords I think.

'Motorsport News' usually reliable missed both Oulton & Brands.Still thisis still only historic & club racing.Can't help wondering why the BTCC was not 8 days later? In days gone by there was always an international meeting on every bank holiday in UK.

The BTCC was deliberately kept of F1 weekends since the ITV presenting crew cover both events.

Also it's not a Bank Holiday everywhere in the UK.

Oulton Park has been receiving quite heavy advertising on the Local ITV station , Dont think "only Historic" is a fair comment

I certainly dont count 70s road sports as Historic, I remember all of them (of course this amy make me historic as well
It is a great weekend especially if the weather is kind, great club displays, and as far as i know the slowly sideways group B rally cars in action on the rally circuit as well

I'm there as one of the orange brigade for the 3 day of the meeting

Oh dear,no offense intended! Guess I am certainly historic as I remember 50s cars. Spent just about every spring holiday 1955-71 at Crystal Palace watching F1 or F2.August at Brands until mid 80s ,then Birmingham Superprix.
Looks like I will be home watching tapes recorded on sunday,next monday.

I'm heading to Oulton on Monday, got say really looking forward to it. There is so much going on at this meeting not sure how I am going to see it all because as well as the on track stuff and the Group B's, there is also Derek Bell in the 2003 Le Mans winning Bentley.
