I understand that the Formula Juniors may well be invited by The Masters Series.

Interesting! There is mention of two Portugese historic grids racing there but others are normal Masters. See from latest release that not only will entrant get hotel concession but also help with transport costs for each car that completes free practice......

Makes much more sense to some of us to do Tour Britannia.

We have a GTO and stuff like that.

I that really 'completes' or does it mean they take part in free practice?

The wording is 'completes'. So I assume car ready for qualifying but not qualified

But nor am I.

I'm taking the Mini to Porto, via the achingly dull Santander ferry, for the Masters Pre 66 TC, then driving the lorry over to Dijon for the GP Large Door U2TC.

Anyone else doing either?

I am going to Porto with the McLaren for the WSM (well to be honest Iain is taking it by the stomach churning ferry, I am taking Easyjet! and the wife). As the car really needs two blokes to run it and I have only one going, does anybody know a local bloke (or a visiting bloke) who could assist? If I find nobody I will have to get my hands dirty, which is just not on. Bloke will naturally get a ticket, meals etc. Maybe even tea (or hot Port?) at Iain's.

That was close, I think I'm Portsmouth on the same day/time.
Yours must be the freight ferry?
I'm on the screaming schoolkid/saga special.
You've got the hairy arsed truck drivers.
We get in about the same time.
Race ya to Porto.

Mike,

I suspect this is the service.

Only one sailing per week so Iain will no doubt be coming back on the Weds sailing. Nice long break there.

WSM at Porto? raise those ride heights chaps or new floor's will be needed, those manhole covers have no respect whatsoever for them...

Walked the track today! Makes Spa look like a track for kiddywinkles... the main straight is quite wide and has been resurfaced, but from the turn off back past the s/f line is old surface and very technical! More Pau than Monaco.

Fuel

Marcus,

I've only just got the e'mail about pre-booking fuel, and I can't get the form to open or print (i have emailed Masters for help, but nothing yet). Iain has my car too, I've no idea whether he has pre-booked fuel for all of us, none of us - do you?!

James,

Just phone Anglo american. Tell them what you think you'll use, they'll charge you for actual usage. They're just trying to estimate what they need to take.

I have not prebooked fuel, I only use pump fuel (but in vast quantities). I should be seeing Iain tomorrow.
