MaskedRacer User has been fined for unsportsmanlike behaviour!
Just to let you know where some of this intense posting is coming from. I asked the Admin to remove post #686. I found that highly offensive and insulting to me and for the other fans who want to go to Road America or any race track and have a good time. Thankfully the crowd did look to be big there. But as far as the forum goes it looks like the pleas were ignored so far.

So if that is the case, can we accept that the lockdowns/restrictions is a topic that you can not NOT talk about. We have no fans at the Indy 500 now which is a huge downer. People are complaining on here about how large the crowd was at the past weekend British GT race. How ironic and twisted world we live in now.

GT Charlotte Roval race looks to be 1 hour 40 minutes at night. Would be nice if there was full lighting to minimize the headlight glare. Would make for tough TV viewing which would be a shame as the GT only races make for great viewing.

I go against the grain here but I admit I am just not a night racing purest like others are. Those headlight glares are horrible. Night racing in sportscars don't make for good TV. Not a fan of it accept for the Daytona 24.

The post had nothing to do with you, your preferred camping locations, masks, cotonavirus or anything else that makes you upset. It was referring to ONE troll who roamed ANOTHER TRACK asking about passes and stickers she wasn't authorized to do and generally requiring compliance to rules that don't exist. And now, yes, the same track camping Nazis will be in place because people can't follow a simple rule we have restrictions on camp sites, sharing camp and where we can go for the Labor Day race. So before you get offended, realize it wasn't at ALL IN ANY WAY directed at you.

Frankly I'd prefer to remove you and move to a world with informed comment but freedom means you get to be an idiot until it impacts me. And since it has I'm taking another break and leaving tenths again so I don't have to deal with blatant fighting with facts and reality. I get enough of that screwing up my work. I don't need it in my house in something I used to enjoy.

I think it's kind of awful that one of the reasons teams were pulling out of Le Mans was for IMSA's new schedule and now the primary offending event is just a TV contract replacement at a series owned track. Not the easiest thing for American teams to go anyways but just...bleh.

I agree carbs, but I think for 2020 we need to accept calandras will be a mess and nobody will be happy. VLN/GTWC/GT Masters is a cluster too, given the overlap in teams. It is what it is, unfortunately.

Wow, IMSA going with Michelin Pilot Challenge headlining the race at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta this Labor Day Weekend.

WeatherTech race Saturday afternoon with Race 2 for Porsche and Lamborghini in the morning Sunday and Michelin Pilot in the afternoon.

Looks like it's due to noise ordinances on Sundays? Easier to shift around the support races throughout the day than the 6hr race.

You are correct; this is a bad take. Full spotlight lighting for night races is bad. This is the way.

The race is starting after the noise ordinance takes effect and they can do the warm-up before. Quiet hours of 10-noon. They are starting Sunday with Porsche at 8 followed by Lamborghini SuperTrofeo.

Guess it's couldn't still be Sahlens 6 Hour at the Glen for obvious reasons, and honestly don't think I've seen them in stores or would buy some for the race.

So it's the TireRack.com Grand Prix this year.

And the race airs tomorrow, when it was scheduled to run before IMSA moved it. So if you have TrackPass Gold, I think, you can watch live with radio. But to allow teams to move personnel up to Indy tonight, and a couple owners and T Bell, IMSA agreed to move the race. And no spectators were harmed because Virginia didn't allow them yet. But don't worry, they will be allowed for football as far as anyone can tell because have forbid Gov Blackface(well maybe I did, maybe I didn't I can't remember but the yearbook says it was me so maybe I guess) had to miss a UVa game.

Finding it a bit hard to get excited enough for a dedicated race thread. Not sure why. Will still tune in though, just probably won't bother with Virginia inspired culinary adventures

If i get a chance i will throw on the TrackPass. Although the NBC Sports app usually has problems on my chromebook.

That was my sentiment too, I would normally love to see the GT race at VIR - it would be ever better if they added Protos, but whatever. I got other things going on right now, and prepping for Indy tomorrow! my prep includes getting the pork butt ready for the smoker early in the AM. It's going to be good.

Yeah, for some reason there's just not the desire to follow this one. Looks like they won't have the rains they've had lately this afternoon in the radar.

Now you've inspired me to maybe pull one of my pork coppa from the freezer and make some pulled pork myself tomorrow.

Although, cleaning a bit of the kitchen and rehabbing some OLD cast iron means could put on IMSA radio and give the race a listen.
