So how the hell did the GTEAm class get up?

Regarding strong arm tactics; any other full factory efforts would probably do exactly the same thing at this stage of the race whether it be Audi vs Peugeot, Toyota vs Mercedes or Porsche vs Ferrari... this is high stakes racing and perhaps the only way to get rid of the unsporting behaviour is to allow just 1 entry per team thereby getting rid of team tactics - or perhaps making future LM races available to privateer entries only?
The rules say each team can only enter 2 cars.. so the Audis and the Peugeots enter another car (or 2?) in someone else's name, but run it as their own. How does that work?

Simple Audi name two of their cars Audi Sport Team Joest and one Audi Sport North America while Peugeot uses Team Peugeot Total and Peugeot Sport Total.

So the Audi pits with 54 mins left, they'll have to pit once more... how many more stops for the #9 Peugeot?

Kronos are no amateurs. For example they run the factory Pugs in IRC.

I am led to believe Kronos have little to do with it. Marc VDS are running the car really.

Do Eurosport not inform their commentators of anything? They seem to be obvlivious to the fact the #51 is falling apart

Once more also I should imagine. Time for Mr Pagenaud to pull the finger out and set some sub record laps!

Usually there is an underdog to cheer... do we now cheer Pug #9?

The Peugeot #9 has to do one more stop. The Audi #2 has to do a splash and dash.

American teams on the podium in every class except LMP1, good day for the yanks. Hate to say it, but Corvette really deserved this one. 74 was dominant and then the young guns in the 73 cruised to the front.

Bmw starting the straight as the 77 and the 51 Ferrari are exiting musallane corner.
So 77 is probably 2:30 behind the 56, and the 56 is 1:30 +1 lap behind the ferrari

I just sort of presumed it was VDS since the car was in the VDS workshops being prepared, in the VDS truck, VDS pit equipment, mechanics and some VDS drivers from the GT1

Not good news... the Eurosport mob kinda glossed over a broken rib as almost a 'nothing' injury... it could indeed have been worse. Wonder how the marshalls extracted the driver, whether in his seat or not?
