This quali session, on the other hand, is actually pretty awesome! Battle to get into GTE Pro is super close and lots of LMP2 favourites don't want to be squabbling down in 8th-15th come race day so are battling hard.

Was hoping for a little closer action in P1. Still, rest of race should be jolly fun.
I don't mind a compressed qualifying session. Forces teams to get straight to it. |

I always liked the fact that the start of the Thursday evening session was the unofficial 'hyperpole' hour as that was when the track was at its best.
Then there was always the chance of a random quick lap at another time. Especially in something like LMP2 with fairly similar cars. |

Have seen several people walking about just past the dunlop bridge suspect they are security, or perhaps Eric has managed to dig a tunnel from his garden.
