Probably depends on how pedantic we want to be with the definition of 'entered'. The 1993 entry list included a Ford Mustang, a couple of Corvettes and a BMW M5; though as far as I am aware, none of these actually gave the scrutineers any work to do, let along took to the track.

Was reading this DSC article which says there are 43 rookies in the race this year but I counted 48!? 47 if you don't include Merriman.

Not sure about definitive. I have tried to maintain a record with my home made entry lists over the years but it's not quite finished for this year.
The ACO really should have a massive database on their website full of stats, but no.

Where do you people get the updated entry lists links and other resources?

The WEC's "practical infos" page has zero info on it, except for the official poster. No entry list, no full time table. https://www.fiawec.com/en/race/practical_info/4689
I thought WEC hired a new communications chief...

The entry list on the Le Mans 24h website is a 7-day-old version.

I keep my own, although I don't update it as often as others (or as religiously as I used to as I'm doing it between bouts of deep depression.....)....
