I guess they could still do some kind of thinly veiled factory thing in Am. Just got to be a bit careful with not implying your 'silver' is a "factory driver" as Aston found out with Pittard and nearly cost him the drive this year.

All that said, I'd rather GM divert funds into making sure there's at least two LMDhs there.

The named Caddy drivers for LM are: Westbrook, Bamber and Lynn
it means a single car entry.....
I secretly hoped for a two car effort....
Anyway...... I really do hope it will be a competitive entry fighting for victory

Which is why they can name the drivers for that car - but not an additional one as that would have to be invited by the Selection Committee

Feels like a two-car LM effort is a no-brainer and I don't think they'd have any issues getting that second entry through if that's what they wanted. You're at such a disadvantage with a single car.

Depends a lot on Glick, and GG would clearly know more, but it doesn't feel like 14 top class cars is all that unrealistic next year.

Odd article, with no GTE-Pro next year in WEC or at LM my understanding is there can't be a fully works entry, it would have to be in GTE-Am, which requires a Bronze and Silver rated driver with one Platinum at best.

Corvette Racing is continuing its factory program in IMSA's GTD class - 1 car for 2023, possibly 2 new GT3 cars for 2024. In addition, they plan on supplying customer cars (again, the new GT3 car under development) for IMSA's GTD and WEC's GT (Am only) classes starting 2024.

Next year's WEC's GTE class will only see Am entries so no official involvement from Corvette Racing, just support but more than likely we'll see one or more factory drivers being part of that single car program.

Aston had works entries in GT-Am for years. Unless the regs changed I don't think there's an issue. it's just a question of what Corvette want to do and how much they value being there at Le Mans.

My point is more about the drivers they are allowed to use, only one works driver will be allowed, the Aston GTE-Am entries were mainly funded by others don't forget, just run by Prodrive under the AMR banner.

Anyway, time will tell, but it would be good to see a Corvette (or two) in GTE-Am for the final season!
