This is an experiment that's been done a few times. I vividly recall Tiff Needell pitting a Jaguar Le Mans car against a Jaguar GR1 attack plane.

But what was this occasion? The plane is an RAF Hawker Hunter, but what's the car? And who's the driver with the earplugs?

I think ( but not certain) it's a Crosslé 12F FF car from '69. Not sure who's car. Perhaps it belonged to a RAF pilot who was a weekend warrior racer?
