Criville signed contract for next year!

Alex not going to well this season,just signed his contract with Honda for the year 2001.

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announces that Alex Crivillé --
winner of the 1999 Road Race World Championship
in the 500cc class -- has signed a contract with
Honda Racing Corp. to ride in the 2001 season for
Team Repsol YPF Honda.

"We've always wanted Alex Crivillé to stay with us,"
said Repsol YPF representatives after the contract
was signed. "We believe in him, both as a rider and
as a person. We know about his strong capacity of
sacrifice and we're sure that he will be world
champion once again. This means that we're not
going to let his supporters down and that we will all be
able to celebrate good moments with him in the year
2001.

Will Repsol tollerate an other defeat?

get next years contract out of the way, try and focus on winning 1 or 2 gp before the year is out....repsol honda need to sign two promising riders (chris vermuelen?) as criville's team-mates. gibernau and okada just havent been there for repsol honda this year when criville's had a bad race.

Signing Chris sounds like a good idea to me. There are quite a few promising young riders in 125s, 250s and Supersports just waiting for an opportunity and all of them will take it if given the chance.

Maybe we should all lobby Honda to take a chance and sign one of them.
