- the Spanish Team Saturn will enter its Courage C60 Chevrolet in LMES - The Tampoli is ready to enter the LMP675 category in LMES - Luc Alphand will enter a Porscge GT3-RS in LMES - The LMP900 and LMP675 will be in the LMP1 category next year - Invest in an Audi for ALMS ? 4 M$ ! - XL racing would like to enter a Maranello 575 in LMES (looking for pilots) - Force One : Alliot should prefer a Maranello, but it could be a Zonda or a Saleen - Panoz : two Esperante in ALMS next year - Dams could manage a team of two Murciellagos with fast pilots at LM - Belmondo racing : two Maranellos in LMES next year - solid meetings between ACO and Maserati for the future... - Michel Cosson (ACO’s chairman) : “best hope from Japanese factories are Nissan and Toyota ; for Nissan, they just wait for Carlos Ghosn green flag ! More good news for LMP fans. Creation have bought the DBA and WILL race in LMES and LM.
I always hoped that a well run series would attract LMP teams, and it seems to be working. |

It seems to me the European teams are really benefiting from observing the ALMS for the last few years. The US teams were blown away by the R8 and V12 LMR which put many off entering LMPs. However in Europe teams now realise what type of car they require to compete with the R8s from the off.
Same goes for GTS. BTW are Carbon GTS cars going to need 100 road cars to be eligible in ACO |

The ACO were considering requiring 100 road cars for carbon 'supercars' in order to only attract genuine road cars.
Small manufactuers would have to make 25. The only manufactuer to be affected would be Masarati, although they have said they will build 100 road cars if required. Over the winter Ratel(FIA) and the ACO are hoping to thrash out one set of GTS regs,whether it is the FIAs Supercar regs or the ACOs option, and even the possible re-introduction of GT1 for the future. Mosler has contracted Beckland Industries in the UK to do a run of 25 road cars (presumably for the Euro+UK markets).
