What's the difference between Marshal and Marshall?
Just wondering what the difference is between those two words.

That easy the first one is spelt with one l and the second one with two l's. sorry just joking with you its a good question I have wondered about it to.

I can answer this for you all!!!....
Marshall is not actually a word in its own right...... the 2 l's only comes into force when used in a plural manner.... i.e. marshalling.... Oooooohhhhhhh I knew that dictionary would come in useful one day!!....... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

"Marshall" is for those who can't spell "Marshal" just the same as "Donnington" is for those who can't spell "Donington".

Zandbak, in England we use the word "Marshal" with on 'L' but I thought that in Belgium (and I think Germany?) you used "Marshall" with two 'L's? It's just a linguistic thing like licence and license, different language different spelling.
