Equal Points Equal records It then goes iirc to next worst score. Phils next worst was a 1st whereas adams was a 2nd however phils 1st was 4 points i think due to a low class number.
This is all my own supposition so it may be wrong.

I think the leaders championship is probably harder to win than the British Hillclimb championship it's nearly always a very close result from a wide spread of classes .

Yer but I think it depends entirely upon what class you are in. The standard of competition varies significantly from class to class.

The regs state that a tiebreak will resolved in this sequence,

a, The next result(s) will be counted.
b, The number of class records will be counted.
c, The number of best places will be counted.
d, The competitor who scored his Championship points first will be deemed the winner.

Should none of these methods be effective the Championship Organiser will specify the method to reach a solution.

So I presume Phil and Adam are discarding 1sts but Phil's is deemed to be worth less?

Put the trophy on a table..

Sit one 20ft to one side and one 20ft to the other..

Drop the flag and see which one gets to it first.

Ooooh I like these new smilies..

I am sure Tony Fletcher will come up with a fair method of resolving this one. Always a shame when there is a protest though!

So which class do you think is easy wi11iam .It's got to be well supported so you don't end up with reduced points awarded for a win and if it's well supported you can be sure it will be competitive also you compete against non championship competitors on their local hills. Phil and quite a few others have been trying to win this championship for years

Poorly supported classes cost me 7 points in the leaders this year.
That was the difference between coming 5th and 3rd overall.
Behind Phil/adam who broke 8 records I was next on 3 records, so it does matter greatly if you are aiming to win the championship on class size.

I never implied that any class was 'easy,' however it is obvious that the standard of competition varies significantly from class to class, whether it be down to the car/driver or engine. For example whilst Phil has had an amazing season and truly deserves his position in the leaders championship there have been few challengers in his particular class, again whether it be down to the car/driver or engine.
