BBC Formula One Theme?
can anyone tell me the name of the song the BBC used as their F1 therme- i think the band was Fleetwood Mac but im not sure. can i get a download anywhere?

It's on quite a few F1 multimedia sites, I'm fairly sure anyway. (I can't remember the site I got it off, but I do remember it had an in-car jpeg of Hakkinen at the top of the page if that jogs anyone's memory
 )

nearly every down load site ive seen has it on there......anyway Downforce , i dont think you will have any trouble getting it now anyway .

Just a thought - isn't it interesting that five years after the Beeb lost their right to show Formula 1, and 25 years (yipe!) after Fleetwood Mac recorded it, there are still people who associate "The Chain" inextricably with Formula 1.
Wonder if ITV's little electro offering will be as enthusiastically sought after in 2022? |

I associate this with Gilles, because it showed Gille's Ferrari.
On another tack, the one used by our Channel 9 intro features a myriad of crashes with Murray yelling FANTASTIC over everything. I found it tacky, but some might like it. Valve

I have 3 full BBC coverage of F1 races on tape, Las Vegas 1981, Japan '94 & Australia '94, and the first time i watched them i was amazed they used the same theme for all those years, probably until the end in '96, and probably prior to '81.

Why change a good thing R69? "The Chain" was the best F1 tune ever, why change it? I can understand ITV wanting to be different from BBC for their F1 coverage, but their tunes are pants in comparison.
