Marco Werner & Philipp Peter

Is either of these guys any good? Werner is to partner Frank Biela in Reinhold Joest's single ALMS entry this year, while Peter joins them for Sebring. What's the chance of success?

I would think that Team Joest woundn't pick up a slouch to fill a seat, so I would imagine that they have some talent, but I don't know anything about them...

Both are really good drivers imo.

They made a good job last year , finishing 3rd with the R8 , as Le Mans rookies.

Well, yes but they were in a Joest-run Audi R8.

Philipp Peter was in Indy Lights for a couple of years and ran fairly well with Dorricott, but I don't follow the series all that closely so perhaps one of our American friends could fill me in on that?

Werner is a tin-top stalwart in Europe but as far as I know never set the world on fire, though he did win the Nurburgring 24 Hours a few years back. Likewise, does any of our German listeners know more about the guy?

He was in IndyLights for 2 seasons I believe, and came 3rd in the final standings. the team he was with (Dorricott) was the strongest at the time, they came 1-2-3.
...or something like that

I must say I never found him to be that impressive in single seaters.
