For me it is. If I try and watch the whole 24 hours while I'm there I zone out by sun-rise. I find it best to take a few breaks and acknowledge the atmosphere.

You've simply got to be awake for dawn. No RLM, no camera, no programme. Just you, a coffee and a pair of eyes. The bit I'll really really miss this year.

It's not so much dawn you need to be awake for, but the night itself. The most magical few hours of the year - just not to be missed. You can sleep later in the morning when all the Audis have retired if you need to....

Don't knock it until it happens... My feeling is that this year is probably Audi's turn for a healthy dose of bad luck to balance out Peugeot's healthy dose of bad luck last year...

I agree, but I don't really want either team to have that kind of back luck - last year was exceptional (I hope) and spoiled what could have been a great race. I want to see a battle all the way!

Last year was heartbreaking regardless of who you support - just not the way you want a titanic battle to end.

Regarding the original topic - I am making the trip with a group of sportscars virgins so any added extras to make sure they can't turn down a return in 2012 is appreciated.
