Infocourse had a press release from Spyker : they seem to give up the P1 project, to focus on the GT entry at LM.

Yes, the fact that they are developing the C8 Spyder was enough indication.
I think it's (financialy) impossible for a small factory like Spyker to develop three different race cars within a few year. |

Plan's are all good and I would love to see em but maybe the ACO had other plans. Is Spyker allowed to race? They have probably not built enough roadcars yet. Or is the trick to race a spider.

yes. heres a possible list of entries already (teams who at least submit an entry to Le Mans)
-2x Belmondo Courage C65's -2x Miracle Courage C65's (1 AUTO ENTRY) -2x Noel Del bello Courage C65's -1x Tracsport Courage C65 -1x GForce Courage C65 -1x PIR Pilbeam MP93 (AUTO ENTRY) -1x or 2x Lucchini Engineering Lucchini XV Judd -1x K2 Entry? (Lola, Pilbeam, Courage ??) -2x RML Lola's -1x or 2x Intersport Lola's (2 AUTO ENTRY's) -2x WR's (1 AUTO ENTRY) that could be up to 18 entries. And generally, the ACO only accepts about 7-10 P2 cars. so it will be very interesting to see how they will work it out this year (there will probably be fewer P1 entries, so they would have to give more to P2) this would be my list of P2 entries that the aco would accept (in my opinion) -2x Belmondo Courage C65 -1x Miracle Courage C65 (1 AUTO ENTRY) -1x Noel Del bello Courage C65 -1x Tracsport Courage C65 -1x GForce Courage C65 -1x PIR Pilbeam MP93 (AUTO ENTRY) -1x Lucchini Engineering Lucchini XV Judd -1x RML Lola -1x Intersport Lola (2 AUTO ENTRY's-other used for LMP1) -1x WR (1 AUTO ENTRY) and then add a 2nd Noel Del Bello Courage to the reserve List, as well as a 2nd RML Lola. but im probably wrong, since the ACO always tends to screw things up. Look at last year's entry (and how many teams dropped out, etc) |

Would that be the new Dome, or a hybrid S101?

From the MotorLegend forum, and more precisely from Jérôme Fougeray, who's a member of the Courage's team : Val Hillebrand and Alexander Seibold tested the C65 too last week-end.

And some more : Jean-Marc Tesseidre (who writes the ACO annual) mentionned a possible partnership to come between Courage and Nissan (in the french paper AutoHebdo).

Read the rules regarding the suggested lap times, what does this mean? The ACO have announced that the time limits for GT1 are 3:55 and GT2 4:08 Does this mean all the GT2's will be dronning around bang 4.08 in the fear that next year they will be handed a penalty. Will the Gt1's even be able to do a 3.55? Does it sound like a positive move? will it stifle competion and be a big turn off for the public? OR Will it encourge new teams as they could be allowed to futher modifiy their cars to bring them up to speed. Last edited by Nordic; 4 Dec 2004 at 13:43. |

I don't understand the rules this way but I may be wrong : what is said in french is for non-homologated cars trying to enter ; if the car is faster than 3'55, it could be more penalized (i.e. : ballasted) or the derogation for the entry could be canceled.
The holomogated GT1 are still free to be faster than a 3'55 a lap. Well, that's what I understand reading it, but, again, I may be wrong, or I could misunderstand it... Last edited by Fab; 5 Dec 2004 at 08:49. |

I also think people are taking the target times too literally, and in fact they are more guidelines for the pace of each class of cars rather than set in stone. |

Sorry you're not able to come for the pilgrimage, despite you're there for PQs...
For the Hunaudières : there's no public area here, but you see the end at Mulsanne's corner... |
