Big difference between F3s on the 2 mile tri-oval of Lausitz and F3s on a 1/2 mile at Silverstone.

The term carnage springs to mind

Yeah, you couldn't run single seaters on a 1/2 miler......absolutely impossible.

Nice one rock

Perhaps you could get the BTCC on it. That would be chaos, but very entertaining chaos...

I don't think they'll get anything like 30000 though, no way. Perhaps they mean over a whole year??

I can't help but think if they're going to start huge earthworks required for an oval track of any kind they might as well do it properly and make it a one mile oval to increase the number of series they could get on it. With a slightly longer over smaller series like Formula BMW etc might be able to give it a go. You could make it slightly more road course like with a couple of chicanes or something.

30,000... It seems like a lot. Is that only a rough of idea of what Autosport think the oval will be like?

I think it is statement drawn from actual plans.

Plans can be very different from the reality of course.....personally, I'll be surprised to see seating for 30,000.

Do you mean more like Rockingham then, so the option for an oval and the option for a road course..?! Not sure it'd be big enough for both anyway?

Yes you could, F1 Stocks, that would work and bring in the crowds, not quite fit with Silverstone image though
