Jean Marie Kjos 1947 - 2007 RIP

I received the sad news that Jeannie passed away last Thursday.

Those of you who have followed the circus known as ALMS during the past ten years would have known her as the charming companion to Tom Kjos, one of the doyens of the media covering the series since its inception.

Jeannie was a photographer, published in many sites such as DailySportsCar, muse, confidant and wife to Tom....he will miss her more than words can express.

I do not get to the ALMS races as much as I did in the first 4 years but it will seem very strange to share an argument and a glass or two with Tom in bars like Chicanes and not have the moderating influence of Jeannie present.

I saw her last at Petit Le Mans back in October, she was obviously struggling from the effects of her ailments but the big smile and can do attitude were still evident.

Deepest sympathies, Tom and family.

How sad. We parked next to each other at Sebring Winter Test, avoiding the rain.

My sympathies to the family.
