AUSTRIA should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Fascinated by your contributions in the Trivia-Lap 5 I will go to start some pastime with the development of Ferraris cars, the racingteam and the customers, entering their own Ferraris. I will dig and pick up, what I can find and hope, your aid will be very great, otherwise I will fail.

Here we go:

In 1946 Ferrari renamed his Societa Auto Avio Costruzione, now called Auto Costruzione Ferrari.

In 1947 Ferrari brought the first racing-car, a sportscar named 125S. The car was designed by Colombo - the former Alfa Romeo engineer and father of the 158-Alfetta. He created a V-12 engine of 1497cc with initially 128 bhp and a simple ladderframe. I invite you to give more technical infos - this will not be my work here. Works-drivers listed by Ferraris official homepage for this year (in sportscar races): Cortese, Farina, Nuvolari, Righetti, Sommer.

But Formula racing began in 1948. Colombo fitted the V-12 with a roots-supercharger, developing 225 bhp and built a monoposto out of the existing 125S, changing some suspension details and calling it tipo 125. Right?

At almost the same time the sportscar 166SC was created. Right?

Here is the first check-point, where I have to wait on your comments. My library is all but not Ferrari and I need your help very often, while going on in this thread.

So, gentlemen, start your engines please ...

My thanks to Michael, who has thrown about 10+MB facts and pics into my mailbox.

Ouch! It means a lot of work, so it will last a bit, until I will come back here.

Don't be to shy and feel free to post your comments in the meanwhile!
