I want race cars to do for me ascetically what Victoria Justice does. Sadly, you have to go back to 2003 for the last really beautiful racing car that's been designed. This is what happens when math and science and the wind tunnel govern race car design as well as the desire to go fast, even if it's ugly as sin.

The render appears to be a sligtly modified Gran Turismo concept car from 2017.

Great spot!
The greenhouse also looks very reminiscent of the 905! (from the new rendering)

I do doubt that any math or science or wind tunnel had governed this particular render. And I'm unanimous in that.

Seems I guessed correctly! Glad to see Rebellion is going to be using/running a Peugeot or two. Although Oreca isn't mentioned in the PR so I didn't get it all right.

Stuck the ‘new’ livery that someone had made on Gran Turismo Sport this morning on the L750R and it looks pretty damn good.

The one thing they seemed to have changed, which is a big one. Is changing the car from a front engined layout which would be great to see again after Nissans dismal failure back to a traditional mid engined layout going by the cockpit position.

As they said in their press release... the car will be rear (mid) engine.

Oreca ending support of Toyota at the end of this WEC season after LM next year. Rumored to be going with Rebellion to Peugeot.

I guess they'll have to find somewhere else besides Paul Ricard to test at. Not sure what else Oreca really provides that Toyota can't cover. Especially after 7 years in the WEC. I can see a new(ish) team like Peugeot wanting their services with the recent experience though.

Oreca did provide 6-7 mechanics and technicians and David Flourey helped with some design aspects of the TS050's aero package it seems. It also seems that TMG did plan on Oreca moving on to another project as per the SC365 article they (TMG and Oreca) were planning on such a move for at least a couple of years.

As for testing, TMG are based in Cologne, which if I remember correctly isn't too far away from Nurburgring or Spa, and TMG both in the GT-One and current LMP era have frequently tested at Spa.

GasperG has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
The real question is what will Oreca provide Peugeot, they do know some Toyota tricks.

https://www.motorsport.com/wec/news/...ercar/4690632/ article talks about a deadline Peugeot has set for a decision on hypercar or lmdh. Also, he talks about the minimum weight difference between the two classes but nothing specific. But they do believe the regs between the two should be the same in terms of weight, power etc.

What...? The existence of the program is not in question. It was already announced at the end of last year. The questions are when is the debut and if it is still going to be LMH. Without covid delays we probably would have already had the answers a few months ago.

The previous car was all ready to go and was pulled out just before the season started, so i am always nervous.
