I think you are missing my previous point. You would never "lease" a car from a manufacturer to build into a race car. The term lease has somewhere been used inappropriately in discussion somewhere IMHO. It should have been "finance company". Has very different connotations in my mind.

No. I was referring to someone saying the scoobies BMR ran being owned by a leasing company.... when in fact they were actually just security for a loan.

I’m sure BMR owned them, no reason for them not to

They did their best with the Scoobys and I can’t see anyone else doing any better, so fair play to BMR

AFAIK, and I am certainly not anywhere close to certain, Subaru owned two of the cars and BMR the other two. This may indeed have changed over the several seasons the cars contested BTCC. Technically a finance company owned BMRs as security for a loan at some point doing this tenure.

HARD haven't bought new Cupra's (they aren't even on sale in the UK yet) - they are buying up RHD Seat Leon FR's.

But you're right, they're buying new Leon FRs. One of them was at Thruxton yesterday. |

Why did they change/photoshop the grill to try and make it look like a Cupra?

As well as the Team Hard VW CCs retiring at the end of this season are there any other cars that we won’t see for 2021?
Is there an upcoming date when the FK2 Civic and the Mercedes A-Class In particular are deemed too old? Any other older cars to go soon? The Audi S3s? |

If you mean in terms of how worn out and battered the cars are, depends on how well they have been looked after. I don't think any of them are especially bad from that point of view. |

Think the Audis could do with replacing.

Cars get older and less competitive so are replaced, let us hope that the replacements are more competitive, some older cars are still capable of doing well.

Of course cars can’t go on forever. This isn’t a historic championship. The good thing is they don’t suddenly become uncompetitive, it happens after a while, meaning older cars can still get results
