I'm off to Zolder in May to marshal at a British event being held out there..

The main race being the BOSS championship, there are a few other series present (including the 2CV guys).

Is anyone else going, or has anyone else been - because I don't really know what to expect!!

Any experience of the circuit would be much appreciated.

Or, does anyone know of what cars are running in BOSS this year??

All I know is that Bob Berridge is giving it a go.....

Not sure about Zolder, or this years BOSS Formula, but be warned, some people have very strong views on this championship.
See further down in this forum.

Was it the usual 'they're too rich and **** to run those cars agruement'????

But at least it gives the dedicated spectator the chance to see F1 cars without having to go to Silverstone (and be bored, get wet / cold, and mix it with 90,000.... I'll stop right there!!!)

Any information would be good!!

So Dan, do you see it from my point of view?
That they must have at least some skill to do a 130mph lap of Castle Combe?
I like the Boss Formula

I think that most of the drivers are quite good - there’s no denying Nigel Greensalls qualities and Johan Rajamaki raced puka F3000’s for a while. With the TGP champion Bob Berridge racing that also helps the quality....

Even the slower guys need a large pair - I marshalled out the back at Thruxton with them last year, everyone present had to be brave....

Lets not forget that many of the real F1 drivers are only there because of family money!!

All beer is good beer
Maybe you could try posing the question in the trackside forum, if it is info about the track you require, there is the best place to ask.
Will you be back in time for Combe though
I hope you have a good trip, the Boss formula looks good this year, some good competion hopefully.

Just back from Belguim.... all in a slight daze!!

But excellent racing, not full grids but everyone was there to have fun. Belgians are nice folks as well..

BOSS was quick, best effort of the weekend was Tony Worswick who put his Jordan in 3 seperate gravel traps in one race but still finished!!!!

Really good circuit, which is worth a visit.. but no longer up to modern F1 standards.
