esorniloc should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Interesting to note that Bridgestone cars were fastest at Bahrain and Valencia.

Williams on top again. Very impressive and the top 6 cars very evenly matched.

At Bahrain, it is the restricted F2004 which has been topping the sheets. Honda are absolutely firing on all cylinders. Am just wondering about the pace (or the lack of it) of the Ferrari, and they seem to be having reliabilty problems as well. Not sure whether the Ferrari 248F1 challenger is as good as the Honda or Renault?

Both Honda's not only were quick but racked up an enormous 240 odd miles between the 2 drivers, seemingly without missing a beat....which could be interesting if that combination of pace and reliability hold up come race days.

The Williams-Cosworth's as well as Renault seem to be showing a similar good pace with good reliability, and although pre-season testing form doesn't always translate to race form, these 3 teams certainley look to be the 3 in-form teams so far.

I am not still sure about Ferrari's form

Honda definitely seem to be on track, with BMW and Williams looking good too...overall, this season seems to be very promising. And one can't forget Renault or Mclaren.

I am at a loss to understand why Ferrari are still pursuing to test with the 2004 car?

McLaren's reliabilty really is nothing short of hideous. Raikkonen was second quickest in Valencia yesterday I believe but could only manage 21 laps. Nico Rosberg was on top, and was mighty in the other Williams.

But Honda look quite on key. Both drivers seem to be keyed into the car.

Autosport have an article this week about the possibility of Mclaren or Ferrari using a restricted V10. They aren't saying it will happen, but do point out that both teams are continuing to test updated versions of last year's cars. If either team did try this (a big if I know) it would really set the cat amongst the pigeons.

AllonFS, if either McLaren or Ferrari ran a restricted V10 I have to go outside and look up in the sky because surely I would see airbourne swine.

Only problem for Mclaren is that their V10 wasn't that good.

I'm interested in seeing just how the FIA define a 'competitive' v8. If reliability is mentioned at any point, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see McLaren running with restricted v10's, but as martyn has already stated, their v10 was far from reliable, too

I am a bit surprised that Ferrari are yet to find the pace with the 248F1; surely it cant be down to Bridgestones;the car definitely does not look reliable, am wondering whether it would be fast enough. I just cant see a resurgent Ferrari at Bahrain, unless they are going to run a restricted V10, which IMHO would be a bit unfair for the spirit of the sport.

Being Ferrari, it would be embarassing to resort to a restricted V10 and to give an excuse to be within the rules (the same applies to Mclaren too if they too resort to using a restricted V10, but I guess fans have been, that bit more sympathetic towards Mclaren)

Im surprised to see Ferrari are considering the V10, im yet to see hard evidence that their V8 is up a certain creek without a paddle...RB2 overheating issues aside.

Pitpass are reporting that the modified F2004 is not eligible like the V10 Cosworth or the Arrows2002 used by Super Aguri, which makes me ask the inevitable question "why are they testing the F2004 so extensively?". And Pitpass also seem to hint that the maranello team may be just sand-bagging and will get down to serious testing when they run solo from today.
