The entery fees are returned to the teams that are not choosen. The 8 teams in reserve get their money back IF they dont race, so these teams have to wait until the race in June.

From my estimates, there are 38 potentional GT1s:

Saleen S7-R (7)
- Larbre
- Larbre
- PK-Carsport
- ARC Bratislava
- Konrad (RBimmo)
- Protek
- Team Tarres

Ferrari 550 Maranello (5)
- Solution F
- Auto Sport Promotion
- MenX
- Hitotsuyama

Ferrari 575 (1)
- Kessel

Aston Martin DBR9 (10)
- Prodrive (AMR)
- Prodrive (AMR)
- Scuderia Italia*
- Scuderia Italia*
- Team Modena
- Jetalliance
- Jetalliance
- Gigawave
- Phoenix
- Bell
* If Scuderia Italia does FIA GT in the GT1 class

Corvette C6.R (6)
- Pratt & Miller
- Pratt & Miller
- Luc Alphand
- Luc Alphand
- PSI Experience
- Carsport Holland

Corvette C5-R (3)
- Renauer*
- SRT*
- ex PK-Carsport*
* Is the Renauer deal real? And what happens to the PK-Carsport C5? Does SRT still own a car? What about PSI?

Lamborghini Murcielago (4)
- Reiter
- All-Inkl.com
- Conversteam*
- JLOC
* The Russian-sponsored car that's entering LMS. Does this mean no MenX for Ferrari?

for GT1 i would honestly say you could write of a lot of those entries, the situation with BMS scuderia and aston looks like BMS will just run GT2 this year with ferrari F430's.

as for phoenix you wont see them in GT1 thats for sure, they are running the swiss spirit lola audi this year, you forgot racingbox from the saleen list, they could be likely as they performed very well in the LMS this year but i dont think the ferrari 550 and 575 teams will do lemans, same for the lambo teams, i can only realistically see JLOC doing lemans out of the lambo teams unless reiter have a change of heart.

The dome will get in - I'm certain of that. You forget that the Dome S101.5 had not raced before Le Mans last year. I also think that the Tokai will get an entry.

Well , the Dome was a modded LMP1 chassis , much like Courage LC70 v's LC75 and Lola B series LMP1 or 2 ... but yeah , thinking about it , cuz of who they are , i reckon they will get in along with that Tokai entry too .

If some teams really wanted in they would do the smart thing and race at Sebring to show the ACO what they are capable of...

Entry list is always published after Sebring. Usually about 2-3 weeks after If I remember correctly...

I think they changed that last year, to give the "chosen ones" more time to prepare and find sponsorship.

SRT had/has 2 C5-R. If Renauer bought the C5-R, I think they only would enter FiaGT or LMS.
The PK Carsport C5-R hasn't been sold yet. So no team can also not enter this car at LeMans.

That Convers Lambo doesn't exist. That car is the Reiter car and will be sponsored by a other bank.

I can't imagine the selection committee would accept the entries for any of the C5Rs, 550s, or 575s as these are all pretty outdated and were not very competitive this past year.

What is the flavor of the year?

-GREEN and alternative energy; Sponsored and or powered ( Big Plus )
- Getting and strengthening the JLMS or PALMS up and running, so Asian entrances, ( Big Plus)
- New Manufactures in P1, especially if they have a top on them. ( Big Plus )
- French teams ( when in drought take ANOTHER French team ) Very big Plus.
- Manufactures that supported the ACO over SRO ideas at Dec World Motorsports meeting. ( Big Plus )
- and of course Sponsored Teams that ALSO sponsor the LM24 and the ACO ( Very VERY BIG PLUS)
- Any thing NEW.

Old teams with little money or not sleeping the the ACO big shots? Not a chance.

Ahhhh Politics and Motorsports make great bedfellows . . . Some ppl still think it is about competition . . .

Since we cannot figure out the GT1 entry list, I wanted to atleast through the Acemco Saleens out there. I know it is a LONG shot, but who knows, someone could have bought them and had them entered.

Doug Fehan mentioned that the Vettes may have competition from the Saleens this year in the ALMS.
