I reckon it's time for a dedicated Test Day thread!
Scrutineering is underway and the first pictures have been posted on Endurance-info.com. |

Nice to see the Acemco Saleen back. They have slightly changed the livery on the car.

Biggest pleasant surprise for me out of this lot is the WR - looks like a racing car (albeit an indiosyncratic one) and the colours all work well.
Nice to feel I can legitimately start to get excited about the whole 2006 Le Mans thing now. |

I'll try to set up a gallery later, but first I need a shower if you have questions or photo request, feel free to ask not sure I can give everything, though |

WR have used a one-piece bodywork since 1993. Maybe for costs reasons. Unfortunetely, during the 1996 préqualifications, the WR driven by Sébastien Enjolras lost it between Arnage and the Porsche curves and caused the last tragic accident at Le Mans.

As the whole bodywork flew away, the car suddenly lost all its downforce and took off.

was about to say - its bare carbon still (and looks great)
Nice day meandering around the paddock and pits, already got some hot stories but you have to tune into Radio Le Mans to find out (including some exclusive Honda info - its on air now) had dinner with some very interesting (german) people. Village is a bit of a mess still can't see it being finished. I here for two weeks! |
