Toronto Sun's Dean McNulty Discovers New Teams and Drivers

In today's Toronto Sun Dean McNulty has a fairly nice interview with Paul Tracy. He gets along all right talking about how the new guys will make the series better because you need new blood, "there has to be a turnover if any sport is to be successful."

And then he says this:

Quote:
"Also among the rookie crop are...Ryan Hunter-Reay, who will join Jimmy Vasser at the American Eagle Team Johansson , Darren Manning of Dale Coyne Racing, and Rodolfo Manning who will be the second car at Fernandez Racing "
Okay, right, Dean. Stick to NA$$CAR.

Will Johansson have that great old eagle paint job like Alex Barron and P. J. Jones had?

Maybe that is the mysterious 'Steven Johnson' Eagle team? I wonder how the chassis freeze effeccts cars from 1996?

What nationality is this Rodolfo Manning chap then? Its pretty laughable for a leading paper to be writing stuff like this. You'd never get a soccer reporter talking about Thierry Wiltord or David Owen.

That's what I thought. I'm going to write him an e-mail and point out the error of his ways, although it probably won't help much. You'd think he could at least copy off the press release accurately.

These errors are unacceptable. I have no excuse that would justify that kind of carelessness. I pledge to do better in the future.

Thanks for pointing these out to me.

Cheers,
Dean McNulty
I give the man credit; he was prompt to acknowledge his errors and I'm sure he will get it right next time. (I wrote him politely and followed up ditto.|
