A new Category has been established in the British Sprint Championship for Formula Fords. All the details can be found on www.britishsprint.org
With rounds at Croft, Snetterton, Knockhill, Anglesey Racing Circuit, Pembrey and Llandow just to mention half a dozen, it is a not to be missed opportunity to compete for a NATIONAL FORMULA FORD SPRINT TITLE! ![]() |

So far we have had just FOUR Formula Ford 1600 registrations for the new season.
Keith Sollis, Martin Pickles, Iain Houston and David Hunter taking the plunge. I'll not do a Delia and ask where you are but............ ![]() |

Iain Houston got his season off to a cracking start with victory with his Pacer in the tightly fought Formula Ford Category in the SBD Motorsport British Sprint Championship opening round at Croft. Mark Smith stalked him all the way in his Elden. Third spot was taken by David Hunter in the ex-Da Silva Royale.

The Formula Ford class was up to seven runners at the Motorsport Vision Sprint - Round 2 of the SBD Motorsport British Sprint Championship.
First round winner Iain Houston repeated his win at 'Snett' as he fought off the attentions of Martin 'Meanie' Pickles. Graham Emmett, who isn't registered for the champinship, was a fine third ahead of a tense battle for fourth which eventually went to John Sharp. Next Round of the SBD Motorsport British Sprint Championship is at KNOCKHILL on 28th May. ![]() |

A very tight 3 way battle ensued on both days at Pembrey.
On a sunny Saturday Iain Houston in the Laser extended his lead with a close victory over Keith Sollis as Martin Pickles was snapping at their heels. On a soaking Sunday Sollis blotted his copybook with a first run spin which put him on the back foot. This left Houston in the lead from Pickles. After recovering his nosecone Sollis fought back to second but it was Houston again who pocketed the top spot. Martin Pickles was again just tenths adrift in third. The focus now moves to Anglesey Racing Circuit for Sunday's Sixth Round of the SBD Motorsport British Sprint Championship. ![]() |
