Michel Jourdain Jr. on Formula One
Michel Jourdain Jr. took part in a teleconference the other day and he had this to say about F1:
Formula One could have 100 cars, there's only two cars that can win, only one driver allowed to win . So competition has nothing to do with that. I take it from this that MJ is not planning to "compete" in WWF1? Last edited by Liz; 6 Jun 2002 at 22:36. |

LOL...nice quote - and so true. I won't go into my view on what should happen to Formula 1, cause I've commented so many times in the past, but that quote by Jourdain is a good one

Wouldn't you love to have a t-shirt with Jourdain's car on it and that quote underneath? I'd wear it to an F1 race if I were going to F1 races ...
In fact, I'd love to send one to Bernie and one to Max! |

Liz, go to a t-shirt company and give them that idea. I'd buy one for sure!

Ironic considering Michel Jourdain is a bit of a ****er driver and really only is that high up in the points because the rest of the field is so freaking inconsistent.
But im not suprised, drivers rarely understand racing. |

If the rest of the field is inconsistent, and Jourdain is high in the points, whatever "****" is, it must be good because you've just pointed out that he is a more consistent driver.
I'd also like to see some support for your statement that drivers rarely understand racing. |

Heh pick a random driver quote about the state of the sport. One of my all time favs is Stirling Moss saying you cant drive a modern racing car on the throttle.

I'm sure he was referring to F1, in which case that's true. I think that statement of yours begs the question, who does understand racing? you I suppose?

Well id not make a comment as silly as Jourdains, and certainly not in public. To me competitive can be when a team as dominant as much as a grid where everyone is within fractions of a second. You know? This isnt NASCAR afterall

Jordi, the truth, like life, is indeed silly.
And speaking of silly, what happened to your excellent signature Jay? It made me laugh everytime I read it. It was the best siggy IMO. |
