He knew the risks as all people who attend the races do in any motorsport. Yeah its a tragedy, blah blah, but get over it. People die all the time everyday in roadcrashes, godamn, it nearly happened to me,.........life goes on, its not you or me, so forget it. I couldnt care less actually, but no doubt people will waffle on about it for weeks and I'll get all sorts of accusations thrown at me.........bottom line for me is......who cares?
Bring on the next race. |

Mul, may I suggest you post this type of sentiments at another forum - we really don't enjoy this type of comments here in our forum.

Mr Mulcahy,
You are heartless....We all watch and enjoy this sport, but when anyone be it pilot, spectator or race official pays with his or her "life" in the name of entertainment, one has to wonder! Please take your comments elsewhere, they are not appreciated here... |

Father Mulcahy, your comments are not welcome here.
In spite of what I would like to say, the rules are clear that you do not attack the poster, so here are my thoughts: end of post spare a thought for the marshals family Last edited by Wrex; 6 Mar 2001 at 05:23. |

How about this thought then:-
No marshals = No racing Makes you think doesn't it, well, it might make SOME people think. |

Marshals run not less risk than racers do, but as distint to last they do it not for fame, wins or money. They are just utterly devoted to autosport. And any person who like to enjoy racing should remembr of this fact.
Thanks to moderators for deleting two abusive threads. There's enough room in the web for such a posters. |

Hi guys, I thought I might have my say. I was working at Turn 3 on the day in question. Graham Beveridge was a member of my team. I had 2 cousins also working on turn three as well as about 6 other close family friends all working there. I took great offence at the comments made by the two who have been deleted. Officials are the backbone of the sport, they risk their lives to make others safer. This man knew the risks indeed, but have a little compassion for a man who loved his sport and should have seen many more Australian Formula 1 Grand Prixs.

Okay, i'll don my 'official' hat here for a moment...
As you will have seen on the announcements forum, we have today had no choice but to remove the posting privaledges of two of our members. One of them for consistent trolling and troublemaking, the other for the same thing PLUS re-registering after a previous ban, which in itself is against our rules here. I'm going to close this topic here as it really serves no purpose whatsoever, apart from to upset people. In closing, i'd just like to invite anyone who treats such a subject as the death of this poor marshall in such a lighthearted, and to be frank sick way, to check out Vandas' topic of today in the 'Trackside' forum on this site. Even you will likely re-evaluate your views on the matter. Or maybe not if the email which I just received from you is anything to go by... |
