Saleen S7R entries
it has come to my attention (which is usaully a hard thing to do) that Saleen is kinda having a rumor resergence. i list the stuff that gets stuck in my head and was wondering if all the smart people here at 10 10ths could help sort this out.
1x Acemco: people say only the 24 hours of le mans, or joint effort with ORECA 2x Oreca: or maybe there is just one. rumored that Steve Saleen wants them to run some AMLS like Sebring. since announcment, no schedule, no pictures nothing. will be at Lemans if it works cause its ORECA. maybe took Acemco's car 2x Konrad: said to be running Sebring, which makes since because he just ran the Intergalos 1000 in Brazil, could have worked on the car in the Saleen shop, to prepare for Sebring. 2x Graham Nash Motorsports: have they Folded or are racing with barely any money to race, said to race in ALMS but don't beleive it. 1x RML: Said to have one, and started making the S7's this is just a rumor, but would like to know what happened, if anything did. and finally Terry Borcheller's thing for the S7R it seems. Didn't he race for RRR/Speedlab, then Konrad, then Acemco. all for 2 years at each team. and now he might do Sebring with Konrad and race for lexus? dosen't the doran he race in Dp's powered by Lexus, or did they switch? thanks for this help. i love this car, the S7R that is, and cant really see a new supercar coming out for Saleen, because this is one of the most aerodynamic cars ive seen ever in a GT series (but that isnt the only reason, i have more) |

The RML entry would have to be done in coordination with Nash, as Mike Newton owns the final Graham Nash campaigned chassis. Nash wont be running in ALMS this year, their plan is to run their car in FIA GT.
Konrad is rumored to run the full ALMS season. Borcheller drives a Ford-Doran in Grand Am.. So heres a quick rundown of POSSIBLE entrants for 2006. There is still alot that has yet to be confirmed: ALMS: 2x Konrad/Carsport America LMS: 2x Oreca? FIA GT: 1x-2x Zakspeed 1x Balfe 1x Graham Nash? 1x-2x Oreca? Le Mans: 2x Oreca 1x ACEMCO |

Konrad won't be running both FIA GT and ALMS together, correct?

Konrad will be running just one car in the ALMS this season. The exception to this will be Sebring where both cars will race in an attempt to boulster their chances of an invitation to Le Mans for which two entries have been requested. This information comes courtesy of Infoscourse.org.

ahh ok..
So one would assume that he will then run 1 car in FIA GT as well. Looks like then Konrad's crew would stay in Europe for most of the season, and Tom Weickardt's team will service the Saleen for the bulk of the ALMS races, correct? Can someone translate the last paragraph properly? I see they have an update on Walter's condition. |

I believe Franz still owns 3 Saleens (002R, 003R and 004R). 014R was his 4th one, but it was sold to Max Stanco (and now Stanco sold it to someone else i hear?) Maybe they can run 2 in FIA GT as well then, and keep 1 chassis in America for the season. |
