Other stories also link Wurz to the team, which would be my choice.

Is Wurz still free to leave McLaren if he gets offered a race drive? And would he even take it, bearing in mind that he'll be doing Friday morning testing next year if he stays with McLaren?

Why would he not take it? It could be a last chance, and he deserves one.

If Webber can make an impression in a nowhere team, so can Wurz.

Interesting comment at the end of the article about how Red Bull are looking into getting BMW engines for '06. Wonder what Sir Frank thinks about that, if it's true?

I don't think Williams would be worried about the competition on the race track - there might be concerns over supply and service being maintained I suppose. Good for BW, good for F1, if it works out that way.

In the short term, it would be good for Williams, as it'd mean another team to help develop the engines and make them as competitive as possible. The chances of Red Bull being able to run as competitive a chassis as Williams in the near future are slim. Williams' main concern might be the chance of a commerical partnership or even a buyout in the future.

Not sure that would create too many snags either - McLaren and Mercedes' financial iterest in each other isn't a barrier to Mercedes supplying engines, as far as I know.

Red Bull have got years to go before they can challenge - even to get to the level of Sauber will be a very tough road, and at the same time their other competitor, Toyota, will move forward and further away from them (I'm pretty sure).

Klien should race as from what I seem to gather he already has a contract for 2005. Also he has been getting better through the year and has not made a mass of errors like some rookies can do.
