hmm your plot was noted a while back...
None the less back on topic - I shall be back in the Vee, and possibly a few extra bits. I still chasing that first win... |

Yer wot!
I think there is a problem with you circuit racing types!
It's all that going round and round and round, it affects parts of the brain you didn't know you had! The title for this thread should of course read: The None Hillclimb Pre-season Thread PS during the off season just nail one foot to the floor - it creates the same sensation |

Shouldn't really need to say it at all. This is a pretty general forum. If you want to talk about hillclimbing, there's hill-climbing threads. If others want to talk about FF, Radicals or any of the other subjects covered by the forum description then they should be allowed to. With that, may I request that we return this thread to the topic.

After attempting to get some people together for a rejuvination of Thundersaloons, I'll probably be BARC SE Salooning, with some excursions oop norf to Cadwell, or maybe Oulton (but not the Fosters excuse for a circuit) with the Northern Sports & Saloons, or even the BRSCC "Euro" Saloons.
Currently shoehorning the new engine into "Harry". Also looking at going "round and round and round and round" properly at Rockingham. Rob. |

Meester Collins,
The BARC SE Track & Race Cars series is the one I'll be most likely playing in, chasing, and hopefully from time to time, leading, the likes of Messrs Birley, and Thurston, or just tarting around looking like a wazzock!! As for round and round at Rockingham, that'll be for SCSA as it's know this month, formerly Days of Thunder, formerly ASCAR. Rob. |

I miss Thundersaloons and the like, I'd love to see some big beastie's out. Sort of a coupe cup on steroids. What I used to like is the fact that there was a great mixture of cars around. I guess they've headed towards historics now, but there must be newer cars in the same vein?

When you look at it, there hasn't been a championship like Thundersaloons that has generated that sort of car ever since it was killed/murdered/massacred many years ago. Formula Saloons gave the existing cars a home, but with limitations, and with different class limits.
The cars from the Thundersaloon era have dispersed across the globe, some are still in their original form, some only come out when a large cheque is presented on their doorstep for demonstration runs, some have been butchered and are nothing like their original form. Some have evolved further (like the one I now own). I tried to compile a list of cars, and where they are, some time back, but there were lots of cars unaccounted for. Yes, it'd be lovely to see a grid full of them again. But unlikely. Rob. |

So the last two items you're planning to be doing represent the "pain" part? - Or should this "pleasure/pain" question feature on Fast Talk forum??
