Howmet TX Turbine

Does any one know if the Howmet TX that raced in England in the early 70 s still survives?
Did it only race for one season ? , i know it had problems getting hot and often proved difficult to restart after a pit stop.

I saw it at the FoS a few years ago. So yes, still survives.

Howmet

There was an article in one of the English classic rags a few years back. Probably Classic & Sportscar, since I get it by subscription. Maybe 6 or 8 pages of the car today, driving report & some historicical reports. IIRC, it ran, but was not in racing condition.

There is two part article in the history section of the Dailysportscar.com (subscription) website It may be possible to view on a `guest basis'. It is the transcript of an interview with Ray Heppenstall and details all the problems and joy of the enterprise.
