The Picchio reminds me of a dog that lives down the street from me...
My wife calls the poor pooch Ass-Face Dog... When you look at him you can't seem to tell: Whether he is coming or going... or for that matter, whether he is taking a dump or puking... Yep... the Picchio reminds me of Ass-Face Dog.... Poor thing...just plain Butt-Ugly....even when wet... |

Just layers and layers of humor starting with the honest truth that I was surprised to see it at the top after scanning up from the bottom of the page. Then there's the joke that it was hidden at the top by being a "Hot Topic", that it would be considered a "Hot Topic" in the first place because the infrequency of posts would usually put it down in chronological order, and that Fab "hid" it intentionally. But I feel I've been trumped and have no reply.

now the live timing screen shows it as "practice 4".. so did they delay qualifying or just put another practice session in place of qualifying (so they will line up on points?)

I'll bet that a female Rhino looks pretty hot to a male Rhino (Check out those Horns!!!).... But a Rhino to the rest of the world is a butt-ugly creature... |

Qualifying was cancelled by the rain and they'll line up by points. That's sure to be front-page, above the fold news.

Last time I spoke with Paul he was off to test the GTO-R at VIR, he absolutely loves the car, says he cant wait to get back into it because altho like a C6R its a difficult car to drive physically its great fun! The speed with which its become a winning car is phenomanal, kudos to TRG. |

Good race, heavily marred with cautions (whats new?) but lots of good rumors and announcements.
More rileys, New 5.0L Lexus, new Porsche Engine, 6 Crawfords, 2 Crawford GT, 2 more GTO-R....whew. |

There were quit a few cautions; but it was so wet off-track it was hard for some of the cars to get back on the track. I'm not sure how much rain VIR got from this tropical storm, but we got 11 inches in my town.

A (cloudy) day at the races
Sunday was my first experience at both VIR and a Rolex Sports Car Series race. Despite the very overcast skies, I enjoyed my outing a lot. I live in Winston-Salem, the heart of NASCAR country, but I'm not really a NASCAR fan. I'm more interested in sports cars and F1 so discovering a road course like VIR so close to where I live was a very pleasant surprise. I'll be back for sure.
I have some photos here: A (cloudy) day at the races |
