Kenny Wallace rumor

Rumors going around now & reported in the winston Salem journal is:
Kenny may run a second Penzoil Sponsored car for DEI & a teammate for Steve Park after he returns in 2002.

Interesting at the prospect of 2 cars with the same sponsor. I'm going to go search Jayski's & see if I an learn more about this.

Jayski has the same thing on his site.However FSN Totally Nascar had a headline that read DEI to have car for Kenny to run in Busch Clash @ Daytona

My question is, what's up with Steve Park? He's been awfully quiet as of late. It's been 8 weeks now, and not a word from him personally...

Have to agree Tim, All we have to rely on is DEIs statements that Steve would be back for the D500. I think that his injuries are more complicated then DEI is letting on and they don't want anyone to see Steve until he is close to 100%. IMO I think Steve WON'T be back for Daytona,(maybe not at all ) and they are getting things set for Kenny in the Penzoil car.

Hey GWP29 (you my Bud from MSF?) Last I heard about Steve- He was still having problems with his double vision. I'm pretty much an old pro with head injuries. He had a side knock to the noggin- affecting BOTH sides of his brain. Temporal lobes are nothing to mess with & unfortunatly you are right about him maybe not being able to return.
Too bad---I liked him & thought he had a big future.

I know Steve Park's absence hasn't been at the top of our minds recently, but I do hope he's OK and that he'll return.

I think this happened to Christian Fittipaldi Last year, he had double vision and slurred speech for a while,

I know this thread started out being about Kenny Wallace and now here we are talking about Steve Park, but Steve's situation doesn't sound real good.

This seems too much like the road that Ricky Craven went down several years ago... post concussion syndrome, losing a top level drive, many months away from the circuit. Like the Rose Lady said, head injuries are nothing to mess with, so Steve really needs to take the time to get better. Hopefully we will see him back in action before too long.
