Off-topic posting seems to be becoming more common these days. I would venture to say that we have all been guilty of it at one time or another. However, it has really detracted from many of the threads lately.
Of particular note are tangents regarding rules and the like, which has derailed many a good thread. The rules are important yes, but they should not be all encompassing. Another concern is the race threads, which should really be about the races. If an issue that needs discussing comes up during the course of a race thread, just open a new thread. As a side note, do not forget the search function. Chances are these issues have been discussed before. We understand that the search function is not a catch all, but it is a good starting point. Give it a try. Furthermore, the posting in some instances has left a lot to be desired. We have seen everything from trolling, to questions over age and maturity, closed mindedness, and just petty bickering. None of these have a place in the discussion. Agreeing to disagree is a valid option, just step away, or contact a mod. We respect the fact that sportscar racing unites a lot of various cars, rules, concepts, and issues. However, each and every thread should not be turned into a free for all discussion on all of the above. The forum would run much smoother if we stayed the course and kept on topic. Furthermore, it would open up the opportunity to discuss a much wider range of issues. Thank you for your cooperation. The Sportscar & GT Mod Team |
