1970s F1 Review DVDs - worth the money?

I'm quite getting into the 1970s F1 era again so thought about getting a few of those DVDs from Duke or elsewhere.

I know the running time's only an hour or so but I was wondering whether anyone who has them rates them, or is it just exactly the same footage that MotorsTV often show but with different narration?

Thanks in advance!

I didn't watch all of the Motors TV footage, but I think it was from a French source, so it might be different to the official releases.

The DVDs are the old Brunswick films which were available in the blue Sports Seen boxes in VHS a few years back. I enjoyed those - still do, in fact - but I haven't yet felt the need to spend money on upgrading formats. I don't think that there has been any remastering of the prints for the DVD release.

Hi

I have a few of them but in my opinion they are no way near as good as the Motors TV footage. They are not remastered so they are still 1970's film quality on a DVD. If you have the originals on video then I would not invest unless you can pick them up cheap. If you look on ebay you can pick up at least 4 of them for less than £4 each. I would not pay £16 for them.

cheers

John

I have them all and I think they are just great. If they are worth the money however is doubtful, depends on how much money you have left to spend really.
