BP Ultimate should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BP-Ford Mud Message!

Hi all,

I work with BP-Ford and would firstly like to thank MagnetON for allowing me to post something I hope you’ll find interesting.

To celebrate BP-Ford’s WRC manufactures victory at the last rally of the season and coinciding with Marcus Gronholm’s retirement, we created something special - a 35 foot tall mud message emblazoned across some Welsh hillside near Sennybridge!

The mud message was created using turf we placed mud-side up to give the effect that a rally car had been let loose. The turf was a great, environmentally friendly alternative to actually ripping up the grass – one passerby commented “it looks like a rally car has pulled a load of donuts in a field...!”
We unveiled ‘WE DID IT!’ on November 30th, just in sight of the Halfway Stage of Rally GB. We’re pretty proud of the end result and would love to know what everyone here thinks.

Thanks,

Rachel

That is amazing! I think i saw it in either Motorsport News or Autosport?

It does look as though Marcus was told to have some fun!!

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback and the welcome to the forum! The image was featured in Motorsport News, which we're really pleased about. It took us seven hours in total to create the effect (most of the time was spent lugging 150 square metres of turf around the Welsh countryside!) so your comments on the end result are much appreciated

Hi,

Thanks for your comments - much appreciated! I thought I'd share a few image of the actual process, to help explain what exactly we did with those seven hours!
